English producer SBTRKT announces his highly anticipated return to Sydney’s Metro Theatre, on Friday, December 29. Touching down on Australian shores for the first time in 8 years, the masked maestro is set to ignite the iconic venue with an unrivalled performance.

Credited with pioneering the framework of modern pop, SBTRKT catapulted to acclaim in the early 2010s alongside the release of his debut album, cutting-edge collaborations with Sampha, Jessie Ware, and Little Dragon, and his electrifying remixes of Radiohead, M.I.A, and Basement Jaxx. His enigmatic live shows transformed this acclaim into a global frenzy. This widespread success paved the way for the producer’s wildly successful sophomore album, Wonder Where We Land, and first independent record, 2016’s Save Yourself, featuring collaborations with Caroline Polachek, Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig, and A$AP Ferg.

Earlier this year, SBTRKT broke his 6 year hiatus with The Rat Road - an intimate look into the artist’s inner journey. Ebbing and weaving through footwork, four-to-floor techno, and synth-heavy production, the record uses the producer’s signature palette to paint in bold, energising strokes. This sonic odyssey will be in full force at Enmore Theatre, combining his beloved classics with new textures.

SBTRKT touches down in Hobart ahead of his Sydney show to perform at HAYDAYS Festival on Thursday, December 28. The Metro Theatre show on Friday, December 29, marks his only non festival date in the country. Just days later, he will then be bringing in the New Year at Heaps Good Festival Melbourne on Sunday, December 31 and polishing off his Australian run with a final stop at Heaps Good Festival Adelaide on Tuesday, January 2.

A producer who thrives in the experimental and daring, promises his most spectacular show to date in Sydney’s most beloved venue.
