May 2026
WINGS Independent Fashion Festival returns this May as a month-long residency at The Metro Social, expanding into a weekly program of runway, performance and sound.
Each Wednesday, two designers transform the space through immersive presentations that move beyond the traditional runway, integrating live music, art and installation into a continuous experience.
The 2026 residency features A-D ATELIER, BAAQIY, LANTERNA, PIGSUIT, RÉSEAU, SHIYO, SPEED and WIERD WORLD ORDER, bringing together a new wave of designers who challenge the conventions of fashion presentation, extending beyond the garment into fully realised worlds where runway becomes performance.

Ella Hailey & Monster Children bring the what’s-on guide to life this June alongside Debaser events. A four-week Metro Social residency showcasing the best Sydney and Melbourne sounds you need to be across. Catch Rain Dogs, Dogworld, Vertebrae & Smusko – a little slice of everything we’re vibing with right now: dark-wave indie, post-punk, and maybe something a little unexpected.
