Not only the Nepali community, YnY Events brings the Nepali band Kuma Sagar & The Khwopa to Australia for all Australians. What's so different? One might ask, and even go on to question that every other Nepali artists performing in Australia sounds just like any western music, with the band playing the guitars, drums, keys and some computer-generated sounds, with language being the only notable difference.

Well, not the same with Kuma Sagar & The Khwopa. The band plays five uniquely indigenous Nepali musical instruments such as Khin, Dhimay,Sarangi, Jhyali and Madal, fused with eastern style bamboo flutes, bass guitar and acoustic guitars. The band's sound is so fresh, as good as there has been no sound like this ever, not in Nepal or anywhere in the world. One word - DIFFERENT.

The Australians will have an opportunity to explore a uniquely exotic experience with their music. The band's music assures a taste of Nepali culture and its' thousands of years old heritage. We encourage the Nepali community in Australia to call upon their friends and acquaintances from diverse background to witness the Nepali heritage live in Australia.

Kuma Sagar & The Khwopa is currently the country's favorite, with the band's music liked by kids to seniors, and from east to the west of Nepal. The reason - the band meticulously weaves the traditional Nepali melodies with the modern vibes. Kuma Sagar, the lead vocalist has a unique vocal tone that captures the imagination of folk listeners as well as the modern youth simultaneously. Born Siddhi Sagar Prajapati, Kuma Sagar along with his band The Khwopa, is a burgeoning talent in the Nepali music scene. From 7.5k monthly listeners on Spotify in December 2023 to 110K per month and counting in less than a year time with back-to-back hits such as Chameli PhoolaA Mai Re, Chhare Sari, Oh Champa, Furfuri, Rara Taalai ma, and Bajeko Bajang, the band has seen an exponential growth in a short time. The band has a Midas touch, and every new release is turning to an instant hit, with many songs having muti-million YouTube views already.

Kuma Sagar & The Khwopa will be presented to the Sydney audience on 24 March 2025, Monday evening, with the Australia Tour lined up for other Australian cities as well.
