ISU TAKI and Metro are proud to present Ghetto Kumbé (Colombia) live for the first time in Sydney.
For more than a decade, Ghetto Kumbé has led the vanguard of sound experimentation, mixing in a unique way the indigenous and African music that converse between instruments, voices and visual elements with electronic beats. Their music is a unique blend of traditional west African rhythms such as the Lambam, Soli, Sofa, Kassa, Makru, among others, and afro-colombian rhythms such as Cumbia, Bullerengue, Son Palenquero, Chande, and the Chalupa de rio. Infusing powerful beats and bass to this already explosive combination, all presented with a visually rich show with masks and neon lights.
Ghetto Kumbé has stepped on big stages with his Afrofuturistic project, bringing their unique sound all over the world including Colibri Festival, Glastonbury Festival, Roskilde Festival and High energy streams on KEPX and Boiler room.
This tour will be part of the Cardones tour, their brand new album released in May 2026 featuring collaborations with recognized artist like Lido Pimienta, Nidia Gongora, Busy Twist and Henry Pimienta Pushania.
It is impossible to resist their electronic ritual with its powerful percussion base of Afro-Caribbean and Afro-Colombian rhythms influenced by African music.
In support duties Gabzac, Chilean artist living in Central coast, his sound is rooted in Organic electronica, layered with cumbia, dub, ska, jazz, Andean beats and tribal rhythms, building a vibrant tapestry using live elements like Saxophone, vintage keyboards and synths.
Sir Bolivar & Foxy Fuzz from Discoteca Tropical known for their vibrant sets rooted in Latin, soul, funk, disco, Caribbean and global rhythms will go B2B to warm up for Ghetto Kumbé.
And closing the night ISU TAKI residents Cuerpo Negro & Otorongo will finish with a high energy set showcasing anything from Afro Latin, Afro futurism, Brazilian, Latin Club and anything in between.
