About

Open since 1994, The Metro Theatre has long been Sydney’s leading independent live music venue, hosting some of the most memorable live gigs Sydney music fans have seen and heard, in the heart of the City Centre.
With notable acts such as Blink-182, The Prodigy, and Jeff Buckley welcomed to the stage, the landmark venue hosts both international and local acts, being a pivotal breakthrough venue for artists as they break on to the scene.
Featuring two distinct performance areas, the venue’s foyer features influence from Art Deco architecture, whilst still maintaining its grunge origins.
With new age artists like Steve Lacy, Travis Scott, Kali Uchis and Lola Young all bringing their genius to the venue early in their careers, The Metro Theatre continues to be a spot that highlights and platforms future household names.
