Rising Afrofusion star Lojay, who’s breakout hit ‘Monalisa’ scored him a top 10 position on the Billboard charts, has officially announced his long awaited debut Australian headline dates!
Having recently been announced to support the likes of Lauryn Hill, ONEFOUR and Katchafire at Promisedland on the Gold Coast, the Nigerian-born artist will now make the journey south for an additional headline date in Sydney at The Metro Theatre this September.
The upcoming Australian dates, which mark Lojay’s first live performances on Australian shores, comes off the back of his latest EP Gangster Romantic, a darker offering from Lojay;
It starts off with a sultry worship of the female form on “YAHWEH”. The story continues with an anthem sung by Lojay as he leads the charge, breaking free from a situationship with an undeserving Lover on “LEADER!”. The project hits cruising speed with “MOTO”, a story of lost love and yearning for what could have been, but also realising to cut his losses and pick up the pieces. Lojay doubles down with moving on to “CANADA”, a story about the prevalent lust for lifestyle and desire for greener pastures. Lojay makes himself “AVAILABU” for a good time and company wherever he finds himself, but finds himself calling to the one he left on “IYD”… realizing his pattern with the subject of the story, he decides to put an end to it on “OVA”.
MOTO has currently amassed 28.4M streams globally since the it's debut release February 3rd, 2023.
