When Odette released her debut single “Watch Me Read You” in late 2017 there would have been little anticipation of what was to follow for the Sydney based artist. However, her unique take on merging spoken word and effortlessly delivered heartfelt and empathetic melodies, soaring harmonies set her apart from many of her contemporaries! MTV were quick to remark on the songs influence… “With the release of just one song, Odette has managed to cut through the clutter of millions of songs that are released every day… ‘Watch Me Read You’ is one of the most talked about songs in recent history…! The track subsequently entered into Triple J Hottest 100, 2018 and the anticipation around the artist and her music was on in earnest!

That early promise came to fruition in the shape of her debut album “To A Stanger”. Accolades for her debut began to mount with an Album Of The Week nod from the j’s followed by no less than three certified Gold singles, Take It To Heart, Lights Out and Collide. “To A Stanger” has now surpassed over 50+ million stream globally and was acknowledged with two Aria nominations including Break Through Artist. Odette completed two national tours of Australia in support of the album selling out every show along the way, endearing herself to an ever-growing army of fans. She also managed to squeeze in two tours of the UK and Europe alongside performing at Splendour in The Grass. To say that Odette had arrived is an understatement. With her reputation as a consummate songstress and performer continuing to build, Odette set about writing her sophomore release and the first taste of that endeavour is her brand new single “Feverbreak”. The track came to fruition after a writing session with one of Australia’s most respected production duo’s – Hermitude. Dubs from Hermitude commented “Odette is a legend, keeping us in stitches the whole session and managing to create an amazing tune at the same time. Her pen and paper were quick to weave an engrossing story and her melodies perfectly complimented the music”. Odette added, “For me, writing this song was a relief. I could finally allow myself to feel the anger I was locking away in my heart. This song is about rage. To have been able to explore this with Hermitude was a privilege. They created this chaotic, electronic world that I was free to scream in”.

The result is a beautiful and haunting mix of Odette’s signature spoken word delivery, an impeccable vocal that sits alongside Hermitude’s production genius that has made them world renowned.

The track marks the beginning of another exciting chapter for one of Australia brightest and unique new talents. In celebration of the song Odette with be playing at…. Judging by previous tours tickets will sell fast
