EVENT RESCHEDULED

Bluesfest Touring, the promoter of The Marcus King Band has regretfully advised that this event has been rescheduled with a new date to be confirmed.

Once the new show date is confirmed we will update this webpage and Ticketek will contact patrons directly.

Ticketek will give you the option of transferring tickets to the new event date or if you are unable to attend, you will receive a full refund.

“We are heartbroken to advise that Bluesfest 2020 and all of the shows around it presented by Bluesfest Touring cannot proceed.

As you may in no doubt be aware, on Sunday night (15/03/2020), the NSW Health Minister issued a Public Health (COVID-19 Public Events) Order 2020, as Health Ministers across the nation have done the same. A copy of this Public Health Order is available via their website. It is clear from the order that events of over 500 people are now banned. We, therefore, have taken all of Bluesfest Touring tickets off sale.

We are now working with artist representatives to see what the future holds and are asking everyone to hold their tickets until this process is completed and we have provided further updates.

We are receiving a lot of supportive messages that are truly appreciated in these unprecedented times and we thank everyone for their continuous support.

Please note that Bluesfest Touring is deeply concerned about the wellbeing of its patrons, artists and staff and everyone affected by this.

We will be in touch as soon as we have received further developments.”

Having established himself as a six-string hotshot, Marcus King and his incredible band of rockers return, ready to deliver a southern fried brand of blues and psychedelia inspired by rock ‘n’ roll. All five members create a blistering, yet soulful unit that has honed their synergy through touring.

At only 23 years old, Marcus King has already been performing live for fifteen years and has established himself as an enthralling world class live music talent. He has appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, made his debut at The Grand Ole Opry performed with Chris Stapleton on a recent US arena tour and at Crossroads Guitar Festival; not to mention the series of sold out headline shows, including his namesake festival – The Marcus King Band Family Reunion. Previous Marcus King releases have received critical acclaim from the likes of VICE Noisey, NPR and Rolling Stone who acclaimed him an artist you need to know and described him as an “electrifying rock performer.”

Hitting number eight on the Billboard Blues Album Charts officially put the The Marcus King Band on the global music map. Now in his early 20’s and with his first solo album El Dorado due on out January 17th – produced by Dan Auberbach of The Black Keys no less – Marcus King and his band are returning to Australia hot on the heels of a sell-out 2019 tour. Don’t miss the songwriter/guitarist who is fast becoming one of the most soulful voices of his generation.
