Afro-beat sensation and five-time award winner, Jah Prayzah, saluted by his fans worldwide as Soja rinosvika kure (the traveling soldier) will be touring Australia for the first time this January to raise funds for IRATOC, a charitable organization with micro-financing and scholarship projects in southern Africa

The tour will feature notable Australian world music acts including Chris Gudu, an ex-member of the world-renowned Afro-pop group, Matonto.

“We’re psyched to be able to host such an incredible artist in Australia in 2015”, said Chris Gudu, the guest artist of the tour. “We’re looking forward to four unforgettable nights to start 2015 right.”

Jah Prayzah will be backed by his eight-piece band and has promised to perform all the award winning hits including Tsviriyo, Gochi Gochi, Kupfumbura Mhute as well as new tracks from his latest album.

“All is set to lift up the dust Down Under”, said Norman Muk, speaking from Harare where he has travelled to sign an agreement with the musician. “The band is ready, we, at IRATOSC, are ready and we hope Australians are ready too because this is going to be a blast into the future of live music.”

Jah Prayzah has toured various world destinations including the United Kingdom and the United States where he has performed to sold-out crowds.

Composer and social commentator, Mashona Murambwi, has described Jah Prayzah and his band as “modern day Bhundu Boys”. On stage, Jah Prayzah has been acclaimed as an intimate and compelling performer with a stage presence that can be likened to that of Lucky Dube. His humorous viewpoint of everyday issues and energetic dance provide a unique blend of story and song.

“I have always wanted to sing something of value to my audience; something that is beyond myself but reaches a wider audience within their own experiences and need for entertainment” – Jah Prayzah
