Sydney fans of 1927 will now have their chance to see the band perform live again when they take to the stage at the Enmore Theatre on Friday September 3.
The Sydney show is being added to the list of national tour dates on the ‘20th …ISH Anniversary Tour’ and follows the overwhelming response from fans at last year’s shows.
All tickets purchased will receive a free CD: ISH…20th Anniversary Tour LIVE. ‘That’s When I Think Of You’, ‘If I Could’, ‘You’ll Never Know’ and ‘Compulsory Hero’ were the hit singles that make up 1927’s multi platinum selling ‘…ISH’ album which sold over half a million copies when it was first released – still one of the highest selling debut albums by an Australian artist – and was a #1 Australian hit in the late 80s.
2009 became another significant year for 1927 as they completed a wildly successful tour for the first time in 20 years and had a Top 10 hit with the digital release of ‘…ISH’. Those buying ‘…ISH’ now, digitally or on CD, will get two previously unreleased live tracks, recorded in 1989 at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney. Soon to be released is long overdue new material.
