Steve Hughes began his stage career in the 80s as the drummer in several Australian thrash metal bands including Slaughter Lord, Mortal Sin and Nazxul. After 10 years on the road, he ditched the sticks and began performing stand up in the mid-90s, relocating to the UK in 2002.

His eclectic mix of quirky anecdotes and witty one-liners has earned him a legion of fans across the UK, including recent performances on BBC2’s ‘The Live Floor Show,’ Paramount’s ‘The Comedy Store’ and the UK’S biggest comedy TV network, Comedy Central’s ‘The World Stands Up!’.

Steve is now widely regarded as one of the most esteemed and exciting stand up comedians working on the UK and international circuit.
