THE FRATELLIS BRING THEIR SWAGGERING POP SONGS AND INSTANT SINGALONG CLASSICS TO AUSTRALIA FOR THE FIRST TIME

“Overall this was a fabulous concert: welcoming, fun, all encompassing, loud, and confidently performed…. I would give anything to see this band again…” bbc.co.uk

THE FRATELLLIS wasted no time in becoming Scotland’s biggest export to the world thanks to their cracker 2006 Tony Hoffer (Beck, Air) produced debut album, Costello Music. With hit singles Henrietta, Creeping Up The Backstairs, Whistle For The Choir and the epic Chelsea Dagger defining the summer (and autumn and winter) of 06/07, their songs strike a chord with the hearts and souls of most everyday people, evoking hope, joy and love of good times. From factory workers in Glasgow to rock star glitterati (Pete Townsend from The Who, performed with the lads at SXSW) their appeal is undeniable and real.

And now these award-winning, multi-platinum selling lads are back with a blistering new full-length release, Here We Stand. Due to hit Australian stores on June 7, the Glasgow three piece have self-produced a glam-tinged, ferocious, handclap-assisted stomper of a sophomore album destined to be full of surefire festival anthems. If the first explosive single Mistress Mabel hotting up the airways is anything to go by, expect bigger and bolder while retaining THE FRATELLIS trademark stamp.

Live, we can look forward to Jon Fratelli leading his boys, Barry Fratelli and Mince Fratelli, through a set that highlights the band’s new tricks (and old favourites) featuring 70’s guitar solos and piano parts coupled with the blissful Fratelli-esque ‘oh la la’ and ‘bah da das’ that seems to break smiles on the faces of anyone in hearing range.

Put this in your diary kids, one of the most exciting bands around right now, THE FRATELLIS are coming to play some guaranteed good-time, no-worries rock’n’roll.
